Dr. Thomas S.Y. Hooi is a distinguished educator and academic who has made significant contributions to the field of education and accelerated learning. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Education) with Honours from the Science University of Malaysia (USM) and earned his Doctorate in Business Administration from International American University in Los Angeles, United States.

In 2018, Dr. Thomas Hooi was appointed as a Professor in Education in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the education sector. His extensive research work has resulted in the development of various sets of learning instructions designed for both adults and students, with a focus on accelerated learning. Some of these programs include Thinking Skills, Learning Skills, Photographic Memory, Speed Reading, Creative Thinking Simulation, and Power Teach, among others.

Dr. Thomas is an active member of various professional organizations, including the Royle Institute of Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy (United Kingdom). Currently, he is the Chairman of Malaysia Association Of Professional Educators Development and also serves as the Vice President of New Millennium Entrepreneurs & Economy Development Association (Perak).

In 2003, he authored the book “Advance Learning Strategy,” providing readers with valuable learning and thinking strategies. Dr. Thomas is also known as the copyright holder for the “Super Learning Brainwaves Audio Product,” which blends Theta Brainwaves with natural sounds and has sold over 230,000 copies worldwide. He has also created subliminal audio CDs that utilize silent subliminal technology to help students enhance their learning capabilities and change habits effortlessly. Notable among these is the “Better Study Habits Subliminal Audio CD.”

Dr. Thomas’s entrepreneurial journey with GeniusBrain was featured in the book “Stories of Aspiring Entrepreneurs” in 2017. He was appointed as the Academic Advisor by Nanyang Educational Consultancy Pte Ltd in Singapore in 2018.

Before his involvement in the development of learning technology, Dr. Thomas gained extensive experience in human resources and training, working in both multinational and local companies for more than five years. In 1998, he established the Smart Child Reading Centre, specializing in teaching English Phonics to students. Dr. Thomas has conducted over 50 seminars, reaching thousands of participants, including educators, parents, students, and the general public. His super learning programs have empowered participants to perform at their best, think innovatively, speed-read materials, enhance memory power, and boost self-esteem. Dr. Thomas also serves as one of the trainers for the Power Learn series designed for corporate companies. He has been a guest speaker at events like the National Young Entrepreneurs Seminar organized by the Klang Chamber of Commerce, attended by aspiring entrepreneurs from Malaysia and Singapore.
