GB SUPER LEARNING SYSTEM

Age Group: Between 9 and 18

Duration: 9 months

       A super learning program that enhances participant’s learning potential, this program included modules on mnemonic techniques (helps in memory retention), notes taking techniques (effective notes taking skills), examination techniques (reducing examination stress), speed reading ( double the existing reading speed), thinking skill ( problem solving abilities).

 

The objective of this program is teaching children ‘how to learn’. More often than not our children tend to behave like robots, memorizing their school lessons through drilling, like an artist memorizing his script, hence their low creativity level. Research has shown that children below the age of 7 are very creative but once attaining age 7, they show a decline in the creativity level. Only 10 % of them are known to have a maintained level of creativity at age 7. Upon reaching 8 years of age, only 2%. This is due to the curriculum system that is practiced in most of the Asian countries which is examination oriented and lacking in the usage of the students’ right brain. This is seen to be the contributing factor to the lower creativity level among most students which consequently leads to lower capabilities in problem solving.

       

        GB Super Learning system helps to develop students’ thinking skills, their reading speed, their memory power and their self-belief to enable them to be a well rounded person. Once students acquire these learning foundations, they are able to absorb and analyze the given situation to solve problems. With better memory and better reading speed, the students will be able to memorize any given information and be able to read faster than most of the children in their age group. The skills they acquire through GB Super Learning system will then save them time in learning and thus produce the desired results. In GB Super Learning, students will be exposed to Super Learning exercises that will help them relax their mind and increase their concentration. With numerous notes taking techniques, students can then choose their own set of notes taking technique which they are most comfortable with.

       

        To enhance students’ interest in Mathematics, Quick Maths modules will help them count faster and create their interest in mathematics through various exciting activities. The effective calculation methods will help students to counter check their mathematical solutions.

       

        Generally, GB Super Learning is an essential program for all students. The learning system will enable them to apply all that had been learnt from the program, in their school subjects. Its just like building a high rise building. Without the right foundation, the high rise building cannot withhold its lasting. GB JUNIOR

Age Group: Between 5 and 9

Duration: 12 months

This is a program that increases children's self-esteem where self-esteem is a crucial part in the child's development. A student with a positive self-esteem will have a higher chance to succeed in life. GB Junior consists of 48 specially designed activities that are based on Multiple Intelligence. These activities included metamorphose, amity, self-esteem, parent-child link, intrapersonal and interpersonal.

 

       GB Junior was developed by us at GeniusBrain Worldwide Sdn. Bhd. in response to the request from many parents. GB Junior consists of 6 basic elements based on Dr. Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences. The GB Junior 6 basis elements are amity, metamorphose, intrapersonal, interpersonal, parent-child link and self-esteem. These are activity based, where students join in the interactive and enjoyable activities organized at the centre. No homework. Through these various activities that are systematically developed, students will be able to learn about friendship, learn to accept changes, learn how to respect other people’s feelings, evaluate their own feelings and create better relationships between child and parent. This allows them to know themselves better which automatically helps increase their self- esteem.

        

        An example of the ‘parent-child link activity’, the session requires the parent to list down their child’s hobbies, favourite colours, favourite cartoon, favourite food, favourite songs etc. All this is done without referring the child for any answer. The facilitator of the session will then read out aloud the certain child’s particulars without mentioning the name of the child. If the related child did not raise his or her hand, the facilitator will then ask them some questions and feedback to their parents. We believe that it is good for parents to be involved in every aspect of their children’s life especially where the working parents are concerned. It may be too late when we as parents realize that our children are lacking in some areas of their lives where we are guilty of taking their young age for granted. GB Junior being suitable for young children, it would be the best time to mould them to become a positive individual.

      

GB MATHS

Age Group: Between 5 and 9

Duration: 9 months

Basic mathematics foundation that increases participant’s interest in mathematics, this module offers quick calculating methods without the usage of abacus or calculators. It consists of finger calculation methods and various calculation-based activities that enhance participants’ creativity. Learning mathematics will never be the same again.

 

       GB Maths is a calculating system that enables a student to calculate without using the abacus. It is designed to improve students’ speed and ability to calculate. Through various activities and exciting exercises, students will be able to speed up their fundamentals in mathematics. As commonly known to us, the foundation or basic of mathematics is only the concept of addition, multiplication, subtraction and division. Once students are able to master this skill, and with the improved confidence, they will be able to perform their calculating in a faster way. This in return will instill a feel of loving mathematics, contrary to most students’ feelings towards the subject at school. With increased speed and accuracy, students will find that mathematics is something that is fun for them to ‘deal’ with. It is a student-oriented program where each student learns at his or her own pace.

      

3EP ENGLISH PHONICS

Age Group: Between 4 and 9

Duration: 18 months

This program enhances participant's pronunciation skills. They will be able to read at an early age using blended sounds and understand the mechanics and construction of the English Phonics. They will also increase their vocabulary by learning new words that are useful in their daily life.

 

       Reading is of major importance in a young person’s learning life. Fluency and accuracy in reading, writing, speaking, and listening are essential. When a child learns to read, he or she has a choice of 2 ways to learn it. First is the ‘look and say’ method. That is reading what is seen as in when they see the word ‘dog’, they will read the word dog. Second method is the phonetic method, that is if they see the word ‘dog’, they will be able to divide the word into syllables where it becomes the sound of ‘d’ combined with the sound of ‘og’. Hence read as ‘dog’. Phonetic approach in reading will enable students to learn how to read at an early age. We have students who are able to read the newspapers at an early age of 5. Reading will then be followed by comprehension.

        

        Students will learn the basics of long sounds and short sounds and be able to identify which sounds to use. With the combination of various activities, learning 3EP English Phonics is as easy as A,B,C! Students can explore how to recognize and spell sets of rhyming words. They will become more familiar with short vowel spelling patterns.

      

GB ART

Age Group: Between 4 and 12

Duration: 36 months

Through joyful and creative art learning methods, participants will be able to create their own internal world through colouring and drawing activities. Colour mixture using colour pencils, crayons and poster colour will be a part of the program. This program will invoke their multiple capabilities and develop visual sense as well.

 

       GB Art is a level by level art program that allow students to expand their creativity in art in another level. The use of colour can stimulate the imagination and creativity of any student regardless of age or subject. Our activities are divided into colour pencil activities, crayon activities and poster colour activities. The learning materials are systematically arranged in such a way to enable students to fully utilize their creativity with their learning materials. Other activities include sketching and scribbling. This will invoke children inner world and indulge them to their world of imagination. GB Art session is the place for activities, techniques and inspiration! It is built on children’s knowledge, imaginations, and interests where it further expands young children’s literacy, physical, thinking, and social skills.

      

GB PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORY

Age Group: Between 4 and 6

Duration: 8 months

       GB Photographic Memory will enable students to capture information at a rapid speed. Through various stimulation activities, students will be trained to absorb information rapidly. This will enable students to use both sides of their brain effectively. With basic memory skills training, students will achieve the skills needed to help them remember more objects than ever before. The student’s kit consists of picture white board that will serve as an immediate feedback tool to the teacher.
